Tuberculosis in the 21st Century

A panel discussion and tuberculosis (TB) tools exhibit in recognition of World Tuberculosis Day.

TB is the second leading infectious disease killer of adults worldwide and 1.7 million individuals died from the disease in 2009. The panel will address the burden of TB in the U.S. and around the globe, the U.S. role in implementing the Global Plan to Stop TB, as well as successes and challenges in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis.
