In the midst of controversy surrounding REDD+ projects, the Cambodian government is signing on to new forestry carbon-credit schemes. Despite international attention, there is virtually no public record of Indigenous or local voices living in and around some of the new proposed projects.
This investigation examines the on-the-ground realities for Cambodians living within REDD+ projects, which are advertised as a significant solution to corporate carbon emissions.
