Audrey Thibert

Audrey Thibert is a rising senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison pursuing a degree in journalism and anthropology with a certificate in Middle East studies.
Audrey has covered a variety of topics on and off the UW campus including local politics, women’s issues, and mental health. She wants to pursue a career in foreign correspondence, with a focus on stories of everyday people who are impacted by conflict, but often forgotten in mainstream media coverage.
She is currently an intern at the Isthmus, a local nonprofit newspaper in Madison, WI, and at the James Foley Legacy Foundation, a group that advocates for journalist safety. Previously, she served as the managing editor of The Badger Herald, a fully independent newspaper on the UW campus and was a fellow at the UW Center for Journalism Ethics.
