NATO After Putin’s War: A Chance for a New Breath or the Beginning of 'Death'

Country:

Author:

Ukraine creates a new world history. The Russian full-scale war against Ukraine holds a warning for the world order. Its fate, formed after WWII, will depend on the result of this war.

Everyone understands that no international organization, including the United Nations or the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), is capable of stopping wars any longer. Now, Ukrainians ask the same question: Could this war have been prevented?

Russia wants to destroy Ukraine because it wants to join NATO. But is Ukraine Vladimir Putin's last victim? What awaits NATO in the light of further enlargement, and how will NATO change after Putin’s war against Ukraine?

This project uses text and video interviews with politicians, diplomats, and experts from Sweden and Finland, who are the first in line to join NATO; as well as Germany and France, which in 2008 at the Bucharest NATO summit blocked Ukraine's accession to NATO.

The project will show how people who influence decision-making in the key Western countries see the way NATO and the world order can change. There will also be a short film based on the most interesting moments of these interviews.
