Ann Hermes


Ann Hermes is a staff photographer at The Christian Science Monitor, where she has reported from across the US and around the world since 2008. She has covered a wide variety of international stories, including the fall of Hosni Mubarak during the Arab Spring in Egypt, gang violence in South Africa, the anniversary of the "Boxing Day" tsunami in Indonesia, and the struggles of Syrian refugees as they make their way across Europe. She holds an MA in in journalism from the University of Missouri.
