Born in Taiwan, Alicia Chen is an independent journalist who covers humanitarian crises, social injustice, and human rights.
She worked as an assistant journalist at The Washington Post in 2021 and covered China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Her work has also appeared in British Medical Journal, Equal Times, Initium Media, The Reporter, and more.
She writes in-depth coverage in both English and Mandarin and hopes to illuminate underreported social issues with creative storytelling.
