Rowan Moore Gerety

Rowan Moore Gerety is a reporter, audio producer, and story editor who has worked with WLRN since 2016, most recently editing enterprise environment coverage. He has also written for The New York Times, Esquire, Harper's Magazine, The Atlantic, Scientific American, and many others, and is the author of Go Tell the Crocodiles: Chasing Prosperity in Mozambique (The New Press, 2018), which explores life on the margins of one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.

He has produced radio stories and documentaries for outlets including NPR, Reveal, and Latino USA. His work for the podcast 70 Million, chronicling the ordeals of pregnant women in Texas jails, was nominated for a 2019 Peabody Award. He has been a fellow with the US Fulbright Program and the International Reporting Project (IRP), and speaks French, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, and Spanish.
