Leslie Roberts

Leslie Roberts is a freelance science writer specializing in global health. She was a longtime deputy news editor at the weekly magazine Science, supervising a team of award-winning journalists. 

Roberts has written extensively on infectious diseases, including malaria, polio, measles, TB, and meningitis, and has received numerous awards.

Before her position at Science, Roberts was editor-in chief at the World Resources Institute, a global environment and development think tank, where she and her team wrote about environment, development, and health. She was also a senior editor and editor–in-chief at Issues in Science and Technology, the policy journal of the National Academy of Sciences.
