Isabel Harari

2025 RAINFOREST INVESTIGATIONS FELLOW (BRAZIL), GRANTEE

Isabel Harari is a Brazilian journalist specializing in human rights violations and environmental crimes in supply chains. Since 2021, she has been a reporter at Repórter Brasil, investigating labor rights and environmental issues.

Previously, she worked at the Instituto Socioambiental (ISA), reporting on Indigenous peoples and traditional communities in the Amazon.

Her work has been published in a number of outlets, including UOL, Mongabay, Sumaúma, InfoAmazonia, Le Monde Diplomatique Brasil, and Agência Pública.

In 2024, she was part of the Repórter Brasil team that won the VI Cláudio Weber Abramo Award for Data Journalism in the investigative category. She also received an honorable mention at the 41st Human Rights Journalism Awards and the Javier Valdéz Latin American Investigative Journalism Award.
