Evey is a photojournalist, filmmaker and multimedia producer. She holds two bachelor’s degrees in Religion and Journalism from the University of Georgia where she was named a McGill Fellow for her academic excellence and leadership. She received her Master’s in Mass Communication specializing in visual communication at UNC Chapel Hill as a Roy H Park Fellow. During college, she spent a two terms at the University of Oxford studying biblical literature and archeology. She spent one summer writing about the place of religious education after the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia and another teaching English in a drug rehabilitation center in Mexico. She is particularly interested in religious issues, racial justice, and visual storytelling.
