Eman Mounir

Eman Mounir is an independent data and investigative journalist from Egypt who focuses on climate change and environmental issues in the MENA region. She has conducted several investigations throughout Egypt and the MENA region, which have won numerous awards, including the New Media Award from Bournemouth University in the U.K. and a prize for science journalism from the Goethe-Institut.
She has also been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the Covering Climate Now Awards 2022, Young Journalist Award 2020 from the Thomson Foundation in London, the True Story Award 2021 in Switzerland, the Fetisov awards 2022, New Media Prize 2023 in the U.K., and the One World Media Award in the Environmental Journalism Impact category 2021.
Her work has been supported by the German Zenith magazine, Candid Foundation in 2022, Earth Journalism Network in 2022 and 2023, and Journalism Fund Europe 2023.
