Disha Shetty is a science journalist currently based out of Bengaluru, India, where she writes mainly on public health and climate change. Her work has appeared in IndiaSpend, VICE, News Deeply, TheWire.in, and Scroll.in, among others. Disha previously worked at India’s leading English language news channel, Times Now, writing for television, followed by a stint with country’s leading media house Zee Digital, and most recently, as a senior health journalist for national daily DNA.
Disha holds an MA in Science, Environment and Medicine Journalism from Columbia University and a Post Graduate Diploma in TV Journalism from the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai. She was the recipient of REACH Media National Fellowship in 2016, EurekAlert Fellowship in 2017, SAJA Journalism Scholarship 2017, and SCARF Media Award 2018 for reporting on mental health.
