Danny Gold

Danny Gold is a freelance correspondent, producer and writer who covers crime, conflict and politics. He has recently produced pieces for PBS NewsHour, The New Yorker, and The Guardian, and his most recent print work can be found in Wired Magazine's 2019 September Issue.
One of the founding correspondent and producers for Vice News, he has reported from 17 countries and worked extensively in the Middle East. He was a 2013 Ford Fellow at the International Center for Journalists with a focus on the Rohingya in Myanmar, and returned in 2016 to do a documentary that exposed UN inaction through leaked internal documents.
In 2015, he made an hour long documentary examining the gang and police wars in El Salvador and the fallout among civilians. He is a member of the Frontline Freelance Register and earned a Masters with a focus on International Reporting from the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism.
