Beth Gardiner

Beth Gardiner is a London-based environmental journalist. 

Her work has appeared in several outlets, including The New York Times, The Guardian, HuffPost, Scientific American, and Yale Environment 360. Her article about air pollution's health dangers was National Geographic’s April 2021 cover story.

In addition, Gardiner, a three-time Pulitzer Center Fellow, was a reporter in the Associated Press' New York and London bureaus before becoming a freelancer.

Her book Choked: Life and Breath in the Age of Air Pollution was named one of The Guardian’s Best Books of 2019, and was a finalist for the (U.S.) National Association of Science Writers’ Science in Society book award.
