Pulitzer Center Executive Director Jon Sawyer and Contributing Editor Kem Knapp Sawyer participate in the News & Journalism session during this year's Media Rise Festival Forum, a daylong series of talks, presentations and workshops on Saturday, September 27, at Impact Hub DC.

Media Rise's mission is to convene people "who are passionate about creating positive change through media." The forum features information-sharing on case studies, best practices, and opportunities for collaboration in the media and social impact sectors. Additional forum sessions include discussions on environmental sustainability and health and wellness among other topics.

The daylong forum is part of the 2014 Media Rise Festival, which kicks off on Monday, September 22, with a series of nightly Networking Lounges, plus Unplugged Spaces and user-submitted Community Events throughout the week.
