The Pulitzer Center is celebrating five years of partnership and impact with The 1619 Project. This fall, we’ll be hosting a learning series for educators curious about how The 1619 Project and other racial justice reporting can support their schools and learning communities.

This four-part series will provide scaffolded training on utilizing The 1619 Project as a tool for instruction and prepare participants to engage meaningfully with the culminating 1619 Impact Showcase. The Showcase will feature Pulitzer Center education partners working in- and out-of-school contexts to cultivate sustained community impact while engaging with The 1619 Project.

Learning Webinar 2 Is Focused on Standards Alignment

Are you interested in racial justice education but unsure where it fits into your curriculum map? In this session, 1619 Education Program alumni will discuss how they aligned The 1619 Project with course focuses and curriculum standards. We will explore what interdisciplinary work around The 1619 Project looks like and discuss strategies for integrating its themes across disciplinary lines.
