On March 7, 2020, an Al Jazeera interactive project supported by the Pulitzer Center, was awarded third place at the Philip Meyer Awards in New Orleans at the NICAR 2020 conference.

The series "Forced Out" focuses on stories of displacement in South Sudan. The project, created in part by Pulitzer Center grantees Carolyn Thompson, Kristen van Schie, and Lagu Joseph Jackson, examines the ongoing violent conflict which began more than five years ago by using technology, interactive tools, and large-scale surveys.

To view all the nominations and winners, go to the Philip Meyer Awards website.
