We all know about climate change, but how often are we connected to the real-world impacts on the “everyday Joe”?
Snow Money is an intimate portrait that allows people to experience the impacts of climate change as it follows Joe De Dominici, a snow plower in Boston.
We start in summer, meeting Joe's family, including his 10-year-old daughter Jade, and relating to him as a parent who wants to provide a home for his child and establish his independence. In fall, we watch Joe and his team prepare equipment for the upcoming winter and get to meet his friends who also double as his employees. Later we plow and shovel with Joe and his team over the course of two snowstorms.
Through cinematic shots and narrative storytelling, Snow Money aims to connect people to effects of climate change that shape our daily lives. Its intention is to preserve Boston’s history and inspire people to take climate action.
