This is Episode 5 in the series Sudan: The Scars of a War the World Ignores.
With the destruction of Khartoum, the Red Sea city of Port Sudan became the country's de facto new capital. Regular army commanders, embassies, and international organizations have taken refuge here, as have some 250,000 civilians displaced by the fighting. In this port city, where water, electricity, and lack of jobs are a problem, three young musicians are trying to revive Sudan's creative energy despite the war.
