This is Episode 2 in the series Sudan: The Scars of a War the World Ignores.

In Sudan, war has led to the collapse of the health care system.

Since April 2023, fighting between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces militia has destroyed or damaged more than 77 hospitals across the country. In the capital, Khartoum, more than half have ceased all activity. Those still in service are threatened by shortages of staff and equipment, and water and electricity cuts. Attacks on health facilities continue, making access to treatment almost impossible.
