Photographer Arthur Larie and freelance journalist Bastien Massa managed to enter Sudan and reach the capital, Khartoum, and the destroyed city of Omdourman, partly retaken by the national army. There, Larie photographed combatants, as well as displaced and tortured men and women. Since 2023, the conflict has claimed 150,000 lives and displaced millions.
