Investigating the Global Shark Trade

Authors:

Scientists say humans kill 100 million sharks each year, causing their numbers to decline by an estimated 71% in the open ocean over the past half-century. Mongabay journalist Philip Jacobson investigates the global trade in these ocean predators, much of which is unregulated and little-known by the general public.
