Indigenous Memory of the Pandemic

This journalistic investigation addresses issues that impact Indigenous populations in Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru: the precarious access to health during the pandemic, deaths from COVID-19, and the penetration of criminal groups (timber traffickers, merchants of illegal gold, land invaders, drug traffickers, etc.).

OjoPúblico will incorporate in its information-gathering method and content dissemination format the testimonies of the inhabitants of Indigenous communities that come from their songs, the narration of their dreams, and the drawings of their artists.
