Vivienne Walt

Vivienne Walt is an award-winning foreign correspondent who has written for TIME and Fortune Magazine since 2003. Currently based in Paris, Walt has criss-crossed much of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, covering some of the biggest stories of this century, including the Afghan and Iraq Wars, all the Arab Spring revolutions, and the mammoth migrant crisis. She coordinated TIME's coverage of the Charlie Hebdo and Bataclan terrorist attacks in Paris in 2015, and the Nice attack in 2016. In Fall 2017 she conducted the first foreign interview in the Elysee with President Emmanuel Macron for a TIME cover.

Born and raised in Cape Town, she emigrated to New York after college.
