Siti Masudah Isnawati graduated from Indonesia's Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta with a bachelor's degree, concentrating in communications studies, in 2007. After graduating, she worked as a journalist at Suara Merdeka.
Interested in data journalism, she has been reporting on gender and environmental issues, especially the impact of climate change on women, children, and public health. One of her notable reports was about the tidal flood in Central Java that impacted women’s health.
Isnawati has won a number of Indonesian journalism awards.
