Rafael Lima
PULITZER CENTER ALUM
Rafael Lima was formerly the Campus Consortium Reporting Fellows intern at the Pulitzer Center in 2022.
Lima was a Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellow in 2019, reporting on the struggle of Indigenous communities for land demarcation in his home country Brazil.
Lima graduated from Wake Forest University in 2021 with a BA in Communication and minors in Journalism and Political Science. During his time at Wake Forest, he led the news and sports section of the Old Gold & Black, Wake Forest's student-run newspaper. He also won the Bynum Shaw Prize in Journalism, given to the student who has made the most significant contributions to campus publications. As a journalist, Lima has had stories published in three different continents with the Pulitzer Center, The Brazilian Report, and New Europe in Belgium.
