Pat Nabong
REPORTING FELLOW
Pat Nabong is a freelance visual journalist based in Chicago. She earned her master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism where she received the Harrington Award for Videography/Broadcast and was inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha, the national journalism honor society. Prior to starting her graduate studies at Medill, she worked as a freelance multimedia journalist for online news sites in the Philippines.
Her devotion to reporting on social justice issues is as strong as her passion for documenting various cultures. She has covered a myriad of stories—from mental health in Chicago and the Standing Rock protests in North Dakota to the displaced indigenous people in the Southern Philippines and the annual Hatsumode in Tokyo.
