Mahmoud Hassino

Mahmoud Hassino set up Syria’s first LGBT magazine, Mawaleh, and presented and produced a podcast series before he was forced to leave in 2011. He was part of Mr Gay Syria (2017) a groundbreaking documentary drama which celebrated the lives of gay refugees in Turkey.
Now living in Germany, he worked with Schwulenberatung Berlin to help open the first major refugee center exclusively for LGBT people.
