Leilani Rania Ganser

PULITZER CENTER ALUM

Leilani Rania Ganser was the Grants and Impact Coordinator at the Pulitzer Center until 2022. Leilani's research in Indigenous social issues began at Reed College and has brought her to the United Nations, to the halls of Congress, and now to the Pulitzer Center as the grants and impact coordinator. Her experience as a CHamoru and Kānaka Maoli woman has encouraged her to introduce Indigenous methods of storytelling and ceremony into her journalism and into public discourse. As an early-career writer, Ganser's bylines have appeared in VICE, In These Times, Meridians, and more.
