Julia Gunther

Julia Gunther is a German photographer who specializes in documentary projects. Her work explores themes of representation, gender, visual identity, and social activism, specifically, the role of women in society.
Gunther's photography has been exhibited in New York; London; Cape Town, South Africa; South Korea; Sydney; and Amsterdam, and her work has been selected by exhibitions and festivals around the globe.
Her work was selected for the Month of Photography Los Angeles, the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize Exhibition, and it has won awards at the Wellcome Photography Prize, the New York Photo Festival, and the Moscow International Foto Awards.
