Judith D. Schwartz

Judith D. Schwartz is author, most recently, of Cows Save the Planet and Other Improbable Ways of Restoring Soil to Heal the Earth (Chelsea Green Publishing, 2013), which looks at soil as a hub for many ecological challenges. She has reported on environmental economics and land/climate dynamics for publications including Scientific American, Yale e360, Time and The Christian Science Monitor. She has a BA from Brown, an MSJ from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and an MA in Counseling from Northwestern. Her next book, on the global water crisis from the standpoint of land health/land degradation, will be out with Palgrave Macmillan in early 2016. She lives with her family in Southern Vermont.
