Here Judith D. Schwartz discusses what she saw in Zimbabwe, from the Dimbangombe River that now runs year-round to the vibrant herds of sable antelope: beautiful, stately animals whose numbers are dwindling in many South Africa parks. She also shares what it's like to walk in the bush with a legendary tracker. The art (or science?) of tracking calls upon all our senses and subtleties of observation. Even with all our technology, tracking has much to teach us.
