Jess DiPierro Obert is a journalist, documentary photographer, and filmmaker. Her work on migration, displacement, and abuses of power spans more than seven years of on-the-ground reporting from Haiti, where she worked as a foreign correspondent fluent in Haitian Creole.
Her bylines include The Guardian, BuzzFeed News, Rest of World, The New Humanitarian, The New York Times, and Al Jazeera English, among others. She is a recipient of the RTDNA Murrow Award and Prix Bayeux recognition.
She continues to report on immigration, land, and displacement across the U.S., Haiti, and beyond.
