Jeff Kelly Lowenstein

Jeff Kelly Lowenstein is the database and investigative editor at Hoy, the Chicago Tribune's Spanish-language newspaper, and is immediate past president of the Ochberg Society, an international organization of journalists who cover issues of trauma and violence. He previously worked as a staff reporter at The Chicago Reporter and South Shore Community News. Kelly Lowenstein's work has garnered local, national and international recognition, including awards from Investigative Reporters and Editors, the Society of News Design and the National Association of Black Journalists. From July 2012 to December 2012 he is living with his wife Dunreith in Santiago, Chile, where he is a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Diego Portales. Kelly Lowenstein blogs actively on the Huffington Post as well as on his personal blog.
