Gideon Sarpong

Gideon Sarpong is a journalist with a decade of experience in policy, data and investigative journalism. He is a co-founder of iWatch Africa and the Ghana Hub lead of Sustainable Ocean Alliance.
Sarpong is an alumnus of the Young Africa Leaders Initiative, Thomson Reuters Foundation and Bloomberg Data for Health Initiative. He was a 2021 Policy Leader Fellow at the European University Institute, in Florence, Italy, and a 2022 Reuters Fellow at the University of Oxford, UK. He has won several journalism awards and was selected by the Thomson Reuters Foundation as a 2022 Changemaker.
