Flavia Lopes is an environmental journalist based in India. She reports on climate change, biodiversity, energy, and other related issues. Her work has been published in several media outlets, including IndiaSpend, The Wire, Article 14, and Climate Tracker.
She has been a fellow with the Earth Journalism Network and Climate Tracker to cover global climate change and biodiversity talks like the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) and the working group session of the United Nations Biodiversity Conference.
Currently, she is a 2023-24 German Chancellor fellow with the Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation, working on gender and energy transition.
Through her research and reporting, she aims to shed light on the complexities of energy transition and explore its potential implication for social justice, governance, and policy-making.
