Fernando Figueroa

Fernando Figueroa is a University of Florida journalism senior pursuing a minor in sustainability studies.
He was the environmental beat reporter for The Independent Florida Alligator, a student-run newspaper in Gainesville, and he was a reporter at WUFT News, which features PBS programming.
Figueroa’s work focuses on environmental topics, including climate activism, extreme weather, law and policy, and solutions for the climate crisis.
