Catherine Yackee
TEACHER FELLOW
Catherine Yackee has been a Social Science educator in the Chicago Public Schools for the last 18 years. At present, she currently teaches AP Psychology and AP Human Geography. She has served as an AP Reader since 2011. Catherine became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2008. In her capacity as an educator in Chicago, she has served as a department chair, grade level team leader, and course leader. She has written curriculum for various institutions such as the Studs Terkel Archive and the Archibald Motley project with Columbia College in Chicago. She has also written assessments for CPS central office used in teacher evaluations. In her spare time, Catherine likes to read zombie fiction and visit historical sites. She is on a quest to visit all of the Presidential libraries (Ford, Roosevelt, Eisenhower and Truman left!) She is happily married to husband Jack and mom to college student Nick.
