Arturo Perez

Arturo Perez Jr. is a commercial, music video and film writer/director, splitting his time between Los Angeles and San Francisco. He is one of the pioneer Directors for the groundbreaking Take Away Shows by La Blogotheque—a web project that creates one-take music videos with the world's most celebrated bands. He has collaborated with top musical talent, including Grammy nominated The Killers, The Lumineers, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros as well as Grammy winners Natalia Lafourcade and Carla Morrison. He was hand-picked by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck as one of the top ten up-and-coming directors in the country and was invited to take part in HBO's Project Greenlight 2015.

In 2008, Arturo was the grand prize winner of "Project Report,"  a reporting contest run by YouTube and the Pulitzer Center. He has worked as a Creative Director with some of the world's most influential brands including LG Electronics, eBay, Microsoft, and Clorox. His work has featured such stars as Heidi Klum, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Will Smith.

He was born in Mexico City grew up in Ottawa, Canada and received his BA from The University of Texas at Austin.
