Anastasiia Carrier

2026 REPORTING FELLOW

Anastasiia Carrier is a 2026 Pulitzer Center Mental Well-Being in the U.S. Reporting Fellow and a 2026-27 Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellow at the University of Michigan.

She writes about public health and safety for Charlottesville Tomorrow, a nonprofit newsroom in Central Virginia, where she has covered topics ranging from youth access to mental health resources to the community’s fight against gun violence. 

Her reporting has previously appeared in POLITICO, Insider, Al Jazeera, and PassBlue.

She earned her master’s degree at Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
