On Friday, March 8, 2019, the Pulitzer Center and Global Health NOW lead a workshop on tips and tools for engaging the news media. This special satellite session of the 10th Annual CUGH Conference brings together communication specialists and Pulitzer Center-supported global health journalists to educate workshop participants about the skills needed to pitch a story, translate to a lay audience, and make both traditional and nontraditional media work for them.

Seema Yasmin, Emmy Award-winning journalist, author and medical doctor
Brian Simpson, Global Health Now editor-in-chief and editor of the Hopkins Bloomberg Public Health Magazine
Sonia Shah, science journalist and award-winning author
Julie de Meulemeester, Pulitzer Center-McGill University reporting fellow and medical student
Moderator: Ann Peters, Pulitzer Center university and community outreach director
The workshop is free and open to the public, but registration is requested.
