The Department of Global Health at George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health will host Pulitzer Center grantee Vaishnavi Chandrashekhar for a Research & Practice Seminar. On Thursday, February 22, 2024, 12-1pm EST, Chandrashekhar will virtually present on “Heatproofing India: Helping Urban Populations Cope with Rising Temperatures.”
Chandrashekhar is a freelance journalist based in Mumbai, India. She has worked as an editor and reporter in print, magazine, and online media for two decades, including at The Christian Science Monitor and The Times of India.
For the Pulitzer Center, she reported on testing measures to assist populations with rising temperatures with Science’s special edition Health on a Warming Planet, The Science of COVID-19, and a project exploring the interaction between development and climate in and around Kolkata, a city of 5 million in West Bengal.
