The Department of Global Health at The George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health will host Pulitzer Center grantee Molly Knight Raskin for a Research and Practice Seminar. On Thursday, October 23, 2025, 12:00-1:00pm, Raskin will deliver a public talk titled Cuts & Consequences: The Impact of Foreign Aid Freezes on Global Public Health. Those interested in the talk are welcome to join in-person or tune in via Zoom.

Cuts & Consequences: The End of USAID, Raskin’s Pulitzer Center-supported reporting project completed in collaboration with grantees William Brangham and Fred de Sam Lazaro, explores the impact of the Trump administration’s decision to shut down USAID. Raskin’s reporting for this project investigates the immediate impact of the sudden freeze on foreign aid to a few life-saving USAID programs in East and West Africa.

Raskin is a freelance journalist who writes and produces for television, documentary films, and newspapers. Her producing credits include reports for PBS NewsHour and the investigative documentary program FRONTLINE. Her documentary film credits include series for Netflix, National Geographic, and A&E.
