The Pulitzer Center is celebrating five years of partnership and impact with The 1619 Project. This fall, we’ll be hosting a learning series for educators curious about how The 1619 Project and other racial justice reporting can support their schools and learning communities.

This four-part series will provide scaffolded training on utilizing The 1619 Project as a tool for instruction and prepare participants to engage meaningfully with the culminating 1619 Impact Showcase. The Showcase will feature Pulitzer Center education partners working in- and out-of-school contexts to cultivate sustained community impact while engaging with The 1619 Project.

Learning Webinar 3 Is Focused on Making The 1619 Project Accessible

Are you curious about how to make The 1619 Project relevant, accessible, and/or developmentally appropriate for your students? In this session, 1619 Education Program alumni will discuss the ways they contextualized 1619 materials for their students. We will learn strategies for using Pulitzer Center resources to engage diverse learners with The 1619 Project. We will also explore methods to differentiate and scaffold content, ensuring that all students can understand and connect with the Project's themes.
