The Pulitzer Center is celebrating five years of partnership and impact with The 1619 Project. This fall, we’ll be hosting a learning series for educators curious about how The 1619 Project and other racial justice reporting can support their schools and learning communities.

This four-part series will provide scaffolded training on utilizing The 1619 Project as a tool for instruction and prepare participants to engage meaningfully with the culminating 1619 Impact Showcase. The Showcase will feature Pulitzer Center education partners working in- and out-of-school contexts to cultivate sustained community impact while engaging with The 1619 Project.

Learning Webinar 4 Is Focused on Centering Joy in This Work

Are you ready to discover the transformative power of joy? In this session, 1619 Education Program alumni will discuss the approaches, strategies, and techniques they utilized for centering joy in their work. We will explore how to cultivate and maintain a positive classroom culture while engaging with hard histories, complex issues, and difficult questions. The "Centering Joy" webinar will be on Saturday, November 30, 2024, 3:00-4:00pm EDT. Apply by clicking the link above.
