    In the dry riverbed that separates Mexico from the United States, the promise of a better life is only a few hundred feet away. This woman is a 23-year-old Mexican from Ciudad Juarez who asked to remain anonymous. Everything beyond the flood light is El Paso, Texas, on the other side of the fence.
