A panel of judges from across the Associated Press awarded AP staffers the 2018 Oliver S. Gramling Awards, the highest internal honor of The Associated Press.  Pulitzer Center grantee Maggie Michael was among the recipients of the $10,000 journalism category awards, in recognition of her reporting on conflict from the Middle East.

As a grantee, Michael covered the ongoing war in Yemen for the AP, covering war-related famine, coalition cooperation with al-Qaeda affiliates, and torture of detainees.
