President Trump shocked critics after releasing a statement on Tuesday, November 19, that dismissed findings by the CIA around the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. "We may never know all of the facts surrounding the murder," or who was behind it, the president said. The CIA's conclusion that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the killing has been widely reported, including by NBC News.

On Tuesday, Pulitzer Center Executive Editor Indira Lakshmanan joined Brian Williams and Jeremy Bash on The 11th Hour to discuss Trump's statement on the killings, and his claim that cooling of U.S.-Saudi relations puts American jobs at risk.
