"If we have the money, yes we just move."

"It's hard to do anything here."

The above sentence is a colloquial expression accompanying the reality of the inhabitants of the village of Timbulsloko. This village was inundated by intense tides. As a result, public facilities have disappeared, as have people's homes.

There are at least two causes of tidal flooding in this area: the climate crisis and land subsidence. For those with more opportunities, the choice may be to find more decent accommodation. The problem is, many residents of Timbulsloko don't have it.
