Video produced by Wasay Mir and Laiba Mubashar. Pakistan, 2023.

In this film, two survivors of acid attack violence, Noreen and Humaira, recount their journey toward self-empowerment against all odds while navigating social barriers, medical challenges, and a long quest for justice in Pakistan, where acid attacks are a brutal form of gender-based violence.

Filmed in Lahore and Islamabad during the summer of 2022, this documentary also spotlights Pakistan's efforts to combat acid-based violence by weaving together intimate narratives with insights from activists and medical and legal experts.
